Is it dumb? Yes. Is it entertaining? Hell yeah! It also has more creativity and more energy than most of the Nightmare and Friday sequels. It also has some redeeming qualities worth meriting such as Robert Englund who is a lot of fun and watching those two go at it is very enjoyable to watch.
It is also worth noting that the teenagers aren't as annoying and unlikable as they coulda been. It's a guilty pleasure to say the least.
