Review of Freddy Got Fingered (2001) by Dan W — 25 Aug 2011
Following the trials and tribulations of an animator who wishes to make the big break, Tom Green sets the standard for a real comedy that never gets old. I have seen this movie at least 90 times, and every time I catch a new reference and it makse the movie even funnier. Rip Torn, who plays Tom's father, should have gotten an Oscar for best supporting actor. No words that I could write would give the man justice for his performance in the movie.
Something I must note about this movie. Many people will think it is not for them. I have shown this movie to many of my friends and colleagues and many have said they did not like it. But then I would ask them about this scene and that scene, and what about this, and every time they would laugh and say it was funny. This movie is funny. End of statement. Although the intensity of the humor might leave you speechless and though-less at times, there is no denying that Mr. Green is a comic genius and this masterpiece sets a standard few will be able to achieve.
