Review of Fred Claus (2007) by Michael M — 18 May 2009

I usually dont get into these Christmas themed movies but this one I really enjoyed. Fred Claus works because of its highly entertaining story, fun characters, and delightful performances from its wonderful cast.

Vince Vaughn is terrific as Santa's older brother, Paul Giamatti is fantastic as Santa himself, Kevin Spacey is phenomenal, and the beautiful Rachel Weisz is stunning, especially with that adorable accent of hers.

Elizabeth Banks makes a nice appearance in this film also. Fred Claus is a film I can watch more than once in the same day, which is something you really cant say about too many films. The concept is fun, the performances are fun, everything about this film is fun.

Its a fun little Christmas movie! Fred Claus is one of the more enjoyable and entertaining Christmas movies you'll ever see and it has a cute ending, like most Christmas films do. I recommend this film to anyone looking for a slightly unique Christmas movie.

The cast is clearly the films main strength, every lead actor here brings a lot to their characters. Fred Claus is a wonderful, delightful, and joyful little film that deserves to be seen by everyone.
