Review of Freaky Friday (2003) by Matthew R — 09 Apr 2010
I liked it. A lot. It surprised me, actually. This movie modernizes the original and Disney is again successful in making remakes of family classics. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan do a excellent job transforming into each other. Curtis as the teenage girl trapped in the mother's body, has a lot of fun. She gets her ear pierced, like she wanted to do. Lohan as the mother trapped in the daughter's body faces the humiliation and tension a regular teenager faces at school, and ends up bonding with her daughter and her friends. Freaky Friday is a sucessful remake, fun and enjoyable to watch.
