Review of Freaks (1932) by Cassie D — 09 Aug 2008
For what it is, this represents quite a break from traditional Hollywood, even for its time. The film raises some interesting points, such as the right for unusual people to use their deformities to make a living.
I think this influenced the makers of Carnivale, not to mention Nick Cave... This is a very important movie because it raises some very important moral questions.
