Review of Freaks (1932) by Sean M — 15 Dec 2008
The grandmother of all bizarre films. I've always been interested in vintage circus stuff, so this was a real treat for me. It's obvious that the "freaks" have no acting experience whatsoever, but that's part of the charm.
The movie did a good job at humanizing them. The ending was quite a shocking surprise, even though they did allude to it at the beginning.
