A woman marries a circus freak for his money and then tries to poison him for it.
All I can say is that you'll never see another movie like this one. There is one scene where a legless and armless man lights a cigarette which is utterly amazing.
As a horror movie, it's a masterpiece but it might be a little for most people to watch even by today's standards.
