Review of Freaks (1932) by Päivi L — 07 Jan 2009
During its release in the 30's banned in Finland, Freaks is a movie that shows that impressive movies were possible to make even before the era of computers. Freaks is a story about the life of "circus freaks", but it mostly shows the "normal" people as freaks. The Freaks are real people born with physical deformities, but who think and feel as anyone. The also have a Code - if one of them is treated badly by the "normal" people, then all of them join together for revenge.
Brilliant story, impressive acting and directing along with the unique concept and actors make a combination that sticks with you some time.
