Review of Freaks (1932) by Jonathan F — 06 Oct 2011
Often billed as a horror film, I must say I think it isn't, the characters of the Freaks are treated with so much respect and likeability that it is somewhat impossible to find them scary, in fact you want them to get their revenge at the end.
I'd like to see the footage that was cut, but it has no doubt been lost. Still the use of the real life 'freaks' such as Johnny Eck made this a really interesting film to watch.
