Review of Freaks (1932) by Kenneth D — 14 Oct 2012
Stark black and white cinematography and the use of people with actual deformities combine for undeniably striking images that lend this fast-paced story of monsters versus freaks a primal power. Part situational comedy, part revenge drama, 'Freaks' succeeds on both counts to become economical, affecting entertainment.
