Review of Freaks (1932) by Daniel V — 29 Nov 2012
A fantastic story, a wonderful script, and an extremely talented cast all combine to create a phenomenal film. The only problem I have is with calling it a horror. The title and concepts are apparent of an attempt at just that, but it turns out to be a much more beautiful drama than a horror.
The last few minutes are understandably terrifying for its time, however.
