Review of Freaks (1932) by Wezul S — 21 Apr 2013
Part shock-cinema, part tragedy, this is no mere horror film, even if the wagon crash scene is truly one of the creepiest scenes I've ever encountered. It follows a tightrope of spectacle without dehumanizing the real-life sideshow wonders.
The message is preachy but powerful; we are all freaks & we all deserve respect.
