Review of Freaks (1932) by Zoran S — 17 Oct 2008
Watching this again, I was impressed by how organic many of the scenes seemed. I am thinking of, for example, the wonderful scene where one of the cojoined twins is kissed for a proposal and the other one smiles.
The film has a strange aimless quality that makes the glorious vengeance at the end all the more interesting. I prefer The Unknown and The Unholy Three by Tod Browning. but this remains one of the most curious and eccentric studio films ever made.
