This was banned in England for around fifty years and I'm not surprised. It tells the story of a circus of 'freaks' and a devious woman who tries to use them for her own ends but ends up coming unstuck.
The 'freaks' were real and in some ways fascinating but I don't mean that in a horrible way. A classic that has to be seen to be believed.
