Review of Freaks (1932) by Matthew M — 01 Feb 2008
Tod Browning has managed to make the most frightening film of his day, even by means of casting real deformed people in place of professionals. This fact, together with tight, expressionistic directing makes this film - even today - a chilling experience with a simple but still timely moral.
