Review of Freaks (1932) by Mike R — 15 Jul 2008
"Freaks" is a fascinating look at horror films of old. The story behind the movie, and its subsequent banning is equally fascinating. The actual film itself isn't great, but is perfectly adequate.
The acting is much better than I expected it to be, and had some genuinely funny moments, my favorite being "Cleopatra's gone on a diet!" Classic. Definitely worth a look if you're a movie buff, but the average movie-goer really isn't missing much.
