Review of Freaks (1932) by Andrew G — 11 Sep 2010
I think I admire Freaks more for its use of a genuine cast of Circus Performers and telling a story where the "freaks" aren't the villains more than I do for it being a good film. The use of the performers was superb, and it was truly disturbing to see how sick people would be towards them.
It's truly an innovative film, and it's a shame that the story and characters could have been easily better written.
