Review of Freakonomics (2010) by Tracie P — 16 Feb 2011
What a boring documentary. I knew almost everything in it already, because I'm not a total imbecile. "Good baby names don't really guarantee success in life. People are bound to cheat when there is money involved." No shit. I could have made this film myself.
Only the Japan segment was interesting, and even that was almost ruined by the weird need to concentrate on sumo wrestling way too much. If the book is as redundant as the documentary, I can't understand why over 4 million people have bought it.
But seriously, there is such an occupation as baby name expert? I want that job. I would only suggest Bruce Lee to everyone. Yes, even if the baby was female.
