Review of Freaked (1993) by Hunter D — 28 Jun 2008
If I were to give this movie an awesomely short and to-the-point Christopher Lewis-style review, I would say: "I like this Bill & Ted movie best." This is what the "Bill & Ted" movies should have been.
Alex "Bill S. Preston" Winter co-writes, co-directs and stars in what is an amazingly gonzo version of Tod Browning's 'Freaks'. It has an amazing cast, including an uncredited Keanu Reeves covered in fur with the incredible name "Ortiz the Dog-Boy".
Just awesome. I love the enthusiasm behind this movie and it's full of rapid-fire gags that had me rolling. The DVD is cheap, just buy this one! Also, I highly recommend the commentary on the R1 DVD with Alex Winter and Tom Stern, it's just as funny as the movie.
