I expected to dislike this, but it's pretty good. The pacing is just right, and the set-up of the mystery is really nice. The pay-off obviously isn't very good, but it almost never is. I'd also heard Ford was catatonic, but even he's pretty decent.
I would have liked to see another actor in the role, but it works as it is. Although Morricone's score is god-awful.
