Though the movie is a heart-warming fun ride, it doesn't reach the heights of the monstrous movies it pays tribute to. Though it's entertaining till the end, it has nothing new to offer.
On a different note, this is Burton's most enjoyable and watch-worthy movie in a long time, i.e. since 'Sweeney Todd'.
