Review of Frankenweenie (2012) by Brett B — 12 Apr 2013
What a great film and good to see Burton return to form. A moving tale of a lonely boy who is best friends with his dog and after a tragic accident. he brings the dog back to life. The Frankenstein story has been done many times, but this version is probably one of the best that I've seen.
The characters are spooky and convey so many emotions with so little words. The story escalates and lots of familiar horror films are echoed, such as Godzilla and Gremlins. One worth seeking out.
