Review of Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943) by Rick G — 22 Dec 2006
This wasn?t a too badly done sequel to the classic The Wolf Man. Lon Chaney Jr. returns to his role as the Lycanthropy affected Lawrence Talbot and does another good job of it.
The only real above average aspect of this film are the SFX. They are pretty good for early 40s. The soundtrack isn?t really noticeable. The acting is not bad, but still average, even for the time. The plot of the movie isn?t too bad.
Despite the title sounding a bit cheesy, I admit that the story followed a decent line of logic as to why Frankenstein (and his ?monster?) would meet up with the Wolf Man. Classic genre fans will enjoy this one.
