Review of Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943) by Ashley G — 04 Apr 2010
This film invented the notion of inconic monsters fighting each other in horror and monster filmslike Godzillia v.s mothra and freddy v.s jason for example. In the first film to invent this idea of a monster mash its and intesting flick it starts of as a sequal of the Wolfman then it changes to another inslament to the frankestein series then it becomes a showdown between the two.
Lon Chaney jr in this film proves the timless stament like father like son to be correct, he like his father ( Lon Chaney sr) is a true actor and gives 110 % in the prisuit of his art. Like donning again the masterful wolfman make up from Jack Peirce.
In the role of the monster lugosi proves that he is good in any role ( a point he proved in Ed Woods anti peaices) inculding a compleatly mute role. 6/10 its not as strong as the wolf man or Frankenstein or the Bride of Frankenstein but its still good.
