Review of Frank (2014) by Tommy M — 10 May 2014
Do not be fooled by thinking this is a biopic of Frank Sidebottom; Jon Ronson clearly thinks he's more deserving of centre stage and Frank is left on the fringes. In reality, it should be called Jon, but no one is going to stump up for a journalist who clings to the coat-tails of others and who's books are somewhat lacking in balance.
Quite pathetic, really. Lenny Abrahamson does his best with the minute amount of detail he's given, but he's up against it from the off. Ronson needs to crawl back under his stone, or try and find an identity to call his own.
This is just tosh.
