Review of Frances Ha (2013) by William D — 25 May 2013
This is the best movie ive seen come out this year and one of the best comedies ive ever seen. Frances Ha being in black and white jsut adds that much character to this must see giggle fest. So many scenes in this film are just classic and quoteable.
So awesome Greta Gerwig plays Frances a girl who is 27 and is still finding herself in a light she feels shes alreadyin. Frances and her best friend start to grow distant from each other for several reasons, shes moving back and forth, the dance career she is trying pursue keeps having its ups and downs and she is just trying to see the cup half filled.
Greta Gerwig who starred in the amazing horror film The house of the devil and waas alongside ben stiller in greenberg has now officially made her name in this new comedy classic. Her performance as Frances can only be loved as she pulls it off perfectly.
She has a certain style to her acting and hopefully it doesnt rub off cuz she is an actress who will have oscars to her resume one day. Now we have a new actress to follow in her career as she does it remarkably with pride and talent.
