Review of Frances Ha (2013) by Jenna I — 31 May 2013
I don't know how I felt about this movie... it held my interest but I thought it was entirely void of charm, especially for a movie that's meant to be a homage to French New Wave... I mean, I get that she isn't charming is part of the plot, she's quintessentially 'quirky' and perpetually immature, but she manages to at least never be abhorrent.
Overall worthwhile but not terribly moving... honestly I'll probably forget about it in a year.
