Baumbauch's filmography is filled with pictures of this ilk which basically rely on the viewer being engrossed by the interaction of quirky characters. The comedy is seldom strong enough to carry the film.
Unfortunately whilst the central character is quite likeable the flow of the story is a bit too fragmented to build on this.
