Frances Ha moves gracefully to a narrative that requires full attention. It's a less crazy Dunham/Allen-like world treated with enough subtlety, buoyed by a lead that's equal parts endearing and frustrating.
It's no Amelie but it might be just as beautiful and twice as painful and rewarding.
