Review of Frailty (2012) by Daniel M — 13 Apr 2008
People love the "twist" at the end that "ties it all together" - not me. In fact that is the ONE reason why I don't like this movie. It's a bit of a reach (that apparently started at the beginning of the film) that just doesn't REALLY make sense if you thought about it long enough. The idea of overtly religious zealotry in beliefs causing people to commit crimes is a great setting for a horror story especcially when it involves a family as this did. A ridiculous twist of a story though - unnecessary. I enjoyed this movie until I realized it sucked.
But still it has haunting images and a disturbing line of thought to it that I give plenty of credit to it.
