Review of Frailty (2002) by Burt M — 27 May 2008
An ingenious and disturbing premise is deftly executed until the twist ending in this good first outing from Bill Paxton. Film ably delves into the nature of religous devotion, personal faith, and psychoses, yet the film is ultimately upstaged by its need to shock the audience with an ending (and what that ending means) that does not make a lick of sense.
Acting was above average, great production values, yet feels unfinished and lacking. Recommended.
