Review of Fracture (2007) by Samantha E — 10 Feb 2013
Anthony Hopkins plays crafty villain like no other, and Ryan Gosling plays the heroic counterpart to perfection; however, in order to avoid the story being typecast as just another Law & Order episode, the writers felt the need to inject so much useless filler and character development so as to fill more than 90m of film.
For example, was it really necessary to depict every young professional's wet dream of getting to screw their older, very attractive boss? I don't think so. In summary, if I was allowed to take the editing scissors to this movie, this could be one of the best Law & Order episodes to make it on air, ever.
