Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by Ellen G — 22 Feb 2015
While some might call this film "slow," I really appreciated the reserved approach taken by director Bennett Miller. Instead of using bells and whistles, he lets the inherent creepiness of the situation gradually unfold.
As the film nears its conclusion, the uneasiness is pervasive. Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo, and Channing Tatum are all excellent.
