Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by Justin W — 25 Mar 2015
Incredibly slow, and not at all as interesting as Birdman. Despite Birdman's story not being all that and a bag of 'tato chips, this film drags so much I started wishing it would end. When end it does, much disappointment was found.
The film seems utterly devoid of life. I felt nothing for the actors who themselves appear very uninterested in their own acting. Channing Tatum carries the same poor me look throughout the whole picture and Mark Ruffalo just seems as if he needed another pay check.
Carell is stiff. He needs to stick to comedy. Easily takes the top spot for slowest film of the decade on my list.
