Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by Alice D — 23 May 2015
It truly saddens me to give this film only three stars⦠The thing is, I don't think I've ever been so excited to see a person play character more so than my beloved Steve Carell playing the douche bag Dupont.
I just found it really slow, and filled with long "Oscary" shots. All of the actors individually gave noteworthy performances, I just for whatever reason didn't really enjoy watching this as much as I expected.
When everything came together, I think overall it lacked chemistry.
