Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by Tim P — 13 Sep 2015
2 boring hours capped off with an inexplicable -- but certainly not boring -- final five minutes. This is a true story; no fiction writer would ever come up with this ending.
Gotta hand it to the actors, though. I normally don't care for Steve Carell because I don't think he's funny. In this film he takes on a serious role, and he hits it out of the park. Tatum also shows more acting chops than we have come to expect from him. Ruffalo is great, but he's usually great, no surprise there.
