Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by Pfenderstrat621 — 13 Mar 2015
As a Bennett Miller fan I was expecting this movie to be as brilliant as "Capote" or as great as "Moneyball", but it was pretty disappointing. I do have to admit that at some parts it was mesmerizing, entertaining, well-shot and exceptionally developed at some aspects, but it was just so stressful to watch.
Through the movie a lot of scenes and development from the context and characters were unnecessary and redundant that it left you expecting something to happen and when something actually happened you ended up not giving a s*** about the events.
I don't see it as a bad movie, I really appreciate a lot of aspects presented on the film and it didn't felt like an "oscar bait" movie (that's a good thing), but it was just a little boring and had a lot of redundant and unnecessary presentation.
