Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by Shane S — 20 Feb 2015
Oddly compelling and surreal. Brilliant performances from Steve Carrell and Mark Ruffalo. The movie masterfully creates an unrelentingly sense of unease and tense, without exhausting the audience. The movie's one shortcoming is that it fails to really explore DuPont's relationship with Mark Schultz, and spends too much time spelling out DuPont's odd family dynamic.
Still, an interesting genre defying film.
