Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by Tom M — 08 Mar 2015
A terrific, if genially-paced, character piece. Tatum carries the film solidly, and Carrell is off the charts - and rocker - as a millionaire mama's boy who collects dreaming sporting figures like zoo animals.
Ruffalo is great here too; the pace may set some people off but the acting keeps it moving briskly enough, to it's horrifying conclusion. A near classic, a good companion piece to "Nightcrawler".
