Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by Michael U — 07 Mar 2015
This film is a very psychological look at how money can't buy happiness. A true story of John du Pont from the very wealthy du Pont family. He's never grown past being his mothers kid and desperately tries to win her approval. He uses people as pawns to achieve some semblance of manhood and believes his own delusions.
The acting was good but I couldn't seem to get past the make up. Especially that of Steve Carell. I couldn't tell if that was his character or he really couldn't move his face. Still a worthwhile film, although it takes a very long time for anything to really happen.
