Review of Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) by Anders H — 21 Aug 2008
This early Richard Curtis production keeps us pretty well entertained through the first three weddings (and the funeral). Had it simply ended there we would have been perfectly content. Instead, though, we end up on a 45 minute scramble for an unlikely way of bringing the main characters together.
All we really wanted was a bit of our favorite stereotype: awkward Brits in formal settings. Was the love story really necessary?
