Review of Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) by Steph O — 06 Aug 2010
You know what you're in for when you watch Hugh Grant movies like "Four Weddings and a Funeral", so you really shouldn't be disappointed. It's a sweet, occasionally funny rom-com with some pretty memorable moments.
I actually liked this much more than "Notting Hill", because I prefer Andie MacDowell to Julia Roberts. Not sure why. I don't particularly love either of them though. The part where John Hannah reads the Auden poem at the funeral is still SO sad, even though I've seen it many many times.
I like John Hannah. I also liked the ending of "Four Weddings and a Funeral". Wasn't 100% what I expected from this kind of movie. But mostly it was, yeah.
