Review of Four Rooms (1995) by Tara H — 07 Feb 2009
This is very self-indulgent and I must admit to giving up on it halfway through. Mainly I watched it for Madonna, playing a witch if you can believe. She seems unsure whether to ham it up or play it straight, and as in a lot of her movies she is disappointingly self-conscious.
Whereas in her music videos and stage shows, she is the most fascinating star of our time. But I can hardly blame her in this case as I too would be embarrassed by the sheer awfulness of Four Rooms. Am I missing something here?
