Review of Four Rooms (1995) by Omar M — 25 Sep 2014
The first two rooms are disastrous segments. Terrible acting, dialogue and smugness plague them. Then, Rodriguez's segment is actually quite good. It's funny and inventive without trying too hard.
And finally, the almost-always great Tarantino's segment is actually just OK. Definitely the weakest writing he's ever put on film but it's still fun and with him acting, it's a rare treat.
So, the two stars are for Rodriguez and Tarantino who made the second-half of the film enjoyable.
