Review of Four of the Apocalypse (1975) by J.b. R — 08 Aug 2011
Off-beat Italian Western that is very unique and one of Fulci's few westerns. Fulci creates his trademark dream-like mood (as he did in all his films, no matter the genre) and it is at turns funny, bizarre, horrific and sweet.
Unlike anything else I have ever seen. The desert acid trip with the evil Chaco is particularly memorable. Overall an excellent film that only suffers from the soft-rock greek chorus soundtrack and some ridiculous dialogue.
