Review of Four Lions (2010) by Liam P — 22 Mar 2011
SUMMING IT UP:
Blackly funny and at times intriguingly insightful, this comic telling of five Islamic extremists planning a terrorist attack benefits from fine performances, particularly Riz Ahmed, and a knowing sense of tongue-in-cheek. It's a brave film that despite its silliness at times never forgets to cut close to the truth of the absurdity of fanatacism.
