Review of Four Lions (2010) by John K — 03 Sep 2011
This is an odd film, and I felt a bit uncomfortable watching it. There are a few bits that made me laugh, but they tended to be the broad slapstick (explosions) rather than the satire.
In terms of story, most of the protagonists are quite stupid and they make a lot of mistakes. However, they are still dangerous, mostly because they think that anger and violence will solve all their problems. Basically, they're the Muslim equivalent of the BNP or the EDL. At the same time, they are vaguely sympathetic.
