Review of Four Lions (2010) by Joon G — 17 Sep 2011
On the surface, this is a comedy with some good laughs and several duds. However, on closer inspect, this movie probably reflects the ideologies of some misinformed yet impassioned Muslims who seek to leverage on jihad as a means to achieve the greater good.
Omar's family is kinda weird. even his wife and child subscribes to an incorrect notion. The ways and means of the team are confused and irrational most of the times and peer influence is the danger.
In the end, they did not achieve what they really set out to do and died not for their cause but out of their own folly.
