Review of Four Lions (2010) by Kate G — 20 Nov 2011
Expected better with Chris Morris at the helm. This is a decent comedy about 4 pathetic Al Qaeda wannabes who screw up at every turn, but the problem is that the first half is so slow and dry, that unless you stick with it and it picks up momentum, you will get quite bored.
When it finally gets going it's good, but the wait seems a little too long. The 2nd half contains plenty of Morris's dark humour and is cracking, leaving you to wonder why the pace wasn't there from the start.
