Review of Four Lions (2010) by Kerry M — 28 Oct 2011
A satire about muslim terrorists - I wonder if the studio is already blown up...
In a sick British-Black-Comedy-Tradition way it's freaking funny. But beside the laughs it also gives us insight in the minds of the "Four Lions" the friends who try to set up a jihad. Their leader, Omar, is the most complex of them and the film focusses on him - a loving father and husband with a quite modern understanding for the islam but with the will to die as a martyr.
I've never laughed so hard at people blowing their head off before!
